Alternator Drive Belt — Condition Check

1. We prepare the car for work («Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).

2. Visually check the condition of the alternator drive belt.

3. If cracks, signs of wear and other damage are found on it, we replace the belt (see below).

Comment. The tension of the belt is given by its length, so there is no tensioner. Accordingly, during the operation of the car, tension adjustment is also not required. If, due to wear or oiling, the belt began to slip on the pulleys, it must be replaced.
