Pic. 29. Instrument cluster
1 - tachometer. Shows engine speed (x1000 min-1).
The presence of the tachometer needle in the red scale zone warns of an increased engine speed. To avoid engine damage, the engine's maximum speed is limited by the engine's electronic control system. When approximately 6200 min-1 is exceeded, the fuel supply will be limited. Possible interruptions in the engine operation and jolts in the movement of the car are not a malfunction. When the speed drops, the fuel supply will resume.
Also, do not allow the engine to run when starting off and while driving at an engine speed below 800 min-1.
Attention! It is forbidden to run the engine in a dangerous mode (at engine speeds above 6200 min-1 and below 800 min-1).
2 - signaling device «Engine». Lights up yellow when the ignition is switched on and goes out after starting the engine.
When the engine is running, the warning light does not mean that the engine must be stopped immediately - the controller has standby modes that allow the engine to operate in conditions close to normal.
Attention! However, the cause of the malfunction must be eliminated at the certified SSSS as soon as possible.
3 - signaling device for left turn indicators. Lights up with a green flashing light when the left turn indicators are turned on.
4 - signaling device for emergency oil pressure. Lights up red when the ignition is switched on and goes out after the engine is started.
When the engine is running, a lit warning light and an intermittent audible signal of the buzzer indicate insufficient pressure in the engine lubrication system.
Attention! If the emergency oil pressure indicator lamp lights up while the engine is running, immediately stop driving, turn off the engine and contact a certified PSSS to eliminate the malfunction, because insufficient pressure in the lubrication system will lead to engine failure.
5 - signaling device for anti-lock braking system (in a variant). Lights up yellow when the ignition is switched on and goes out after the end of the ABS self-test mode (about 3 seconds).
Attention! In all other cases, the lighting of the signaling device indicates a malfunction, the elimination of which must be carried out only on a certified SSSS.
6 - immobilizer signaling device. Lights up yellow and displays the status of the immobilizer and the car's security mode.
7 - coolant temperature alarm. When the ignition is turned on, it automatically lights up red for 2 seconds to confirm that the signaling device is working.
In the embodiment, there is no automatic check. In this case, the confirmation of serviceability is checked in the test mode as follows: press the reset button for the daily mileage counter (18), without releasing the button, turn on the ignition, release the button - signaling devices, a liquid crystal indicator and devices should turn on for 25 seconds. The absence of the signaling device lighting up or its subsequent switching on in an intermittent mode indicates the need to check the electrical circuit.
Operation of the car with a faulty signaling device is unacceptable. When the operating temperature of the coolant is exceeded (more than 115°С) the signaling device lights up red permanently, in addition, a short intermittent sound signal of the buzzer turns on. Do not allow the engine to run in overheating mode.
Attention! Do not operate a vehicle with an overheated engine. The car must be delivered to a certified SSSS to determine and eliminate the cause of engine overheating.
8 - signaling device «brake failure». Lights up red when the ignition is switched on for about 2 seconds and goes out after the end of the ABS self-test mode (in a variant). The blinking mode of the indicator indicates the applied parking brake. A permanently lit warning light indicates a low level of brake fluid in the reservoir of the hydraulic brake actuator or a failure of the electronic brake force distribution function of the ABS system (in this case, it turns on together with the ABS indicator).
When the engine is running, the activation of the signaling device is duplicated by a short intermittent sound signal of the buzzer.
Warning! It is forbidden to operate the car with a constantly burning signaling device. In this case, it is necessary to apply to a certified SSSS.
9 - signaling device of indicators of the right turn. Lights up with a green flashing light when the right turn indicators are turned on.
10 - battery discharge indicator. Lights up red when the ignition is switched on and goes out after the engine is started.
When the engine is running, the illumination of the indicator and the intermittent sound signal of the buzzer indicate a violation of the normal operation of the vehicle's power supply system and indicates a malfunction of the battery charging system, weak tension or a break in the alternator drive belt, or a malfunction of the alternator itself.
Attention! In this case, it is necessary to apply to a certified SSSS.
11 - speedometer. Shows vehicle speed (km/h).
12 - ESC (in a variant). Signaling device of system of electronic exchange rate stability (ECU). Lights up in yellow when the ignition is switched on for about 2 seconds and goes out when the ABS-ESC self-test mode is completed. When the vehicle is moving, it lights up and flashes at a frequency of 2-3 times per second in case of operation of the electronic stability control or traction control function. The ESC OFF warning light illuminates amber after the electronic stability control and traction control functions are disabled, and goes out after the functions are enabled.
Attention! In all other cases, the lighting of the signaling device indicates a malfunction, the elimination of which must be carried out only on a certified SSSS.
13 - O/D OFF (in a variant). Upshift warning light in an automatic transmission (see section «Features of driving a car with an automatic transmission»). Lights up yellow.
14 - headlight high beam signaling device. Lights up blue when the high beam headlights are on.
15 - signaling device for rear fog lights. Lights up yellow when the rear fog lights are on.
16 - signaling device for low beam headlights. Lights up green when the low beam headlights are on.
17 - front fog lamp signaling device (in a variant). Lights up green when the front fog lights are on.
18 - button for switching mileage meters, resetting the daily mileage counter and turning on the time correction mode.
Switching of the odometers is done by a single short press of the button (for execution «standard» switching occurs in a ring «ODO» - «TRIP A» - «TRIP B»). To reset the daily mileage counter, in the daily mileage display mode, press and hold the button for 2 seconds (for execution «standard» the current counter is reset «TRIP A» or «TRIP B»).
Clock setting (execution «standard»)
Switching to the clock setting mode is carried out by pressing and holding the button on the front panel of the instrument cluster for 2 seconds while indicating the total mileage. A single press of the button on the front panel of the instrument cluster leads to an increase in the clock readings by one, holding the button for more than 1 second causes an accelerated increase in the clock readings by 4 units per second. If the button is not pressed for more than 5 seconds, the minute correction mode is switched on (changing minutes is similar to correcting hours). Further absence of pressing the button leads to the exit from the correction mode to the clock readings mode.
Clock setting (performance «norm» And «luxury»)
Switching to the clock setting mode is carried out by pressing and holding the button on the front panel of the instrument cluster for 2 seconds while indicating the total mileage. Time correction is made by buttons ▲ (minute correction) and ▼ (clock correction) on the steering wheel switch. Exiting the correction mode - pressing a button on the front panel of the instrument cluster or no button presses on the steering column switch for more than 5 seconds.
Attention! Button rotation is not allowed!
19 - liquid crystal indicator (see section «Liquid crystal indicator»).
20 - open door signaling device. Illuminates red when the driver's door is fully open or (in a variant) any of the passenger doors of the car. When the door lock is opened to the first fixed position, the door open signaling device in the instrument cluster may not work, which is not a malfunction.
21 - fuel reserve indicator. It lights up yellow when refueling is necessary to avoid interruptions in engine operation.
The fuel reserve indicator lights up when two or less segments of the fuel gauge are illuminated. Turning on the light signaling device is accompanied by intermittent (2 repeated on / off for 0.5 seconds) buzzer sound.
Simultaneous flashing of the indicator and «empty» the contours of the segments of the fuel gauge indicates a malfunction of the fuel level sensor circuit.
22 - signaling device for emergency tire pressure reduction (in a variant). Lights up yellow when the tire pressure is low.
23 - signaling device for electric power steering (in a variant). Lights up yellow when the ignition is switched on and goes out after starting the engine.
Attention! In all other cases, the lighting of the signaling device indicates a malfunction, the elimination of which must be carried out only on a certified SSSS.
24 - signaling device for unfastened seat belts (in a variant). Lights up in red when the ignition is switched on, if the seat belts are not fastened.
When the car is moving at a speed of more than 10 km / h, the inclusion of a light signaling device is immediately duplicated by intermittent (cycles of on/off/on respectively for 0.5/0.25/0.25 seconds for 90 seconds or until the seat belt is fastened or the ignition is turned off) buzzer sound; at speeds up to 10 km/h, the horn will sound after 60 seconds of non-stop driving.
Warning! When driving a car, be sure to fasten your seat belt and do not transport passengers who are not wearing a seat belt!
25 - transmission malfunction indicator (in a variant).
26 - airbag signaling device (in a variant). Lights up yellow when the ignition is switched on and goes out when the airbag system self-test mode is completed (after 3 seconds).
Attention! In all other cases, the lighting of the signaling device indicates a malfunction, the elimination of which must be carried out only on a certified SSSS.
The instrument cluster has a self-test mode. To turn on the self-test mode, you must press the button for switching odometers, then turn on the ignition without releasing the button (ICE do not start).
After turning on the ignition, the arrows of the indicating instruments (tachometer and speedometer) will move from zero to maximum (4 times), while all segments will be displayed on the LCD and all signaling devices controlled by the microcontroller of the instrument cluster will turn on (For the version of the instrument cluster without on-board computer (LCD displays only time and total/daily mileage)):
- reserve fuel, low brake fluid/handbrake, low battery, emergency oil pressure, unfastened seat belts, airbag failure, engine failure, engine overheating, immobilizer.
For the variant version of the instrument cluster with on-board computer without outside temperature display:
- Overdrive warning light, ABS, transmission fault, tire fault, open doors.
For the variant version of the instrument cluster with on-board computer and outside temperature display:
- high beam, low beam, ESC, ESC OFF.
If in the self-test mode you press the button for switching the odometers, then the LCD will display the number of the instrument cluster software on the top line of the LCD and the number of the instrument cluster on the middle line. The self-test mode will end 25 seconds after it starts, or when a speed or engine speed signal appears.
