When the key is removed, the mechanism of the locking mechanical anti-theft device is activated. To completely block the steering shaft, turn the steering wheel to the right or left until it clicks.
To turn off the mechanical anti-theft device, insert the key into the ignition switch and, turning the steering wheel slightly to the right and left, turn the key to position I.
I - ignition. The position is fixed. The key is not removed.
II - starter. The position is unfixed. Automatic key return to position I. Key cannot be removed.
If the engine does not start on the first start attempt, turn the key from position I to position 0 and try starting again after about 40 seconds.
Attention!
- Do not hold the key in position II for more than 10 seconds.
- The ignition switch contains a starter restart interlock mechanism that prevents the key from being re-moved from position I «Ignition» to position II «Starter».
- To retranslate the key from position I «Ignition» to position II «Starter» you must first turn the key to position 0 «Turned off», and then try again.
Warning! It is strictly forbidden to turn off the ignition and remove the key from the ignition switch while driving - this leads to a sharp increase in the force of pressing the brake pedal and blocking the steering.
If the ignition is off and the key is left in the ignition switch, when the driver's door is opened, the buzzer emits a continuous audible trill to warn that the key has been left in the ignition switch.
If the ignition is turned off and the key is removed from the ignition switch, but the parking lights remain on, then when the driver's door is opened, the buzzer emits two intermittent beeps, warning that the exterior lighting has been left on.
