Removing
1. Remove the timing belt («Timing belt - replacement»).
2. Remove the toothed pulley from the crankshaft.
3. In order not to lose the key and not damage the new oil seal with it, use pliers to remove the key from the groove.
Warning! When removing the oil seal, do not scratch the working surface of the crankshaft.
4. We remove the stuffing box from the mounting hole with a special hook or, wrapping a self-tapping screw into it, with pliers.
Installation
1. We apply clean engine oil to the working edge of the new oil seal and press it through a mandrel or pipe section with a diameter of about 40 mm so that the outer edge of the oil seal is flush with the edge of its mounting hole.
2. Insert the key into the groove of the crankshaft.
3. Install the toothed pulley on the shaft.
Warning! When installing the pulley, make sure that the key does not fall out of the groove.
4. Install the timing belt, crankshaft pulley in the reverse order of removal («Timing belt - replacement»).
5. Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly.
