To do the job, you will need a multimeter and pieces of wire.
Removal and inspection
1. We prepare the car for work («Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Having released the latch, disconnect the wiring harness block from the adsorber purge valve (For clarity, the photo shows with the air filter cover removed).
3. Prying with a screwdriver, release the latch, sliding the valve up, remove it from the bracket (For clarity, the photo shows with the air filter cover removed).
4. Squeezing the retainer, remove the tip of the tube from the valve nozzle.
5. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the clamp that secures the hose to the canister purge valve tube.
6. Prying with a screwdriver, remove the valve from the adsorber.
Warning! In order to avoid a short circuit during the following operation, one of the probes should be insulated with a PVC tube.
7. We supply 12 V voltage from the battery to the valve terminals («+» to conclusion 2, «-» to conclusion 1).
Comment. When voltage is applied to the terminals, the valve should open with a characteristic click. A defective valve must be replaced.
Installation
Install the valve in the reverse order of removal.
