The reservoir of the master brake cylinder is removed for replacement or preventive washing. In addition, sometimes it becomes necessary to remove the reservoir of the main brake cylinder to replace the rubber bushings of the reservoir.
To remove and install the brake master cylinder reservoir on a car, you will need: a flat-blade screwdriver, wrenches «on 10», «at 13».
1. Remove the battery (see «Removing and installing the battery»).
2. Disconnect the wire ends from the brake fluid level sensor.
3. Remove the brake reservoir cap with the brake fluid level sensor float.
4. Pump out the brake fluid from the brake reservoir with a rubber bulb or syringe.
5. Take away brake reservoir clamps...
6.... pry off the brake reservoir with a screwdriver and remove it from the master brake cylinder.
7. Examine rubber plugs of fastening of a brake reservoir. Replace torn, cracked or loose rubber bushings.
8. Establish on the car a brake tank in sequence, return to removal.
