Removal and installation of the main brake cylinder

To remove and install the master brake cylinder on a car, you will need: keys «on 10», «at 13».

1. Remove the battery (see «Removing and installing the battery»).



2. Turn away two nuts of fastening of brake tubes to the main brake cylinder.

3. Disconnect brake pipes from the main brake cylinder and take them aside. Plug the holes in the brake pipes.



4. Turn away two nuts of fastening of the main brake cylinder to the case of the vacuum amplifier of brakes and remove the cylinder.



5. Establish on the car the main brake cylinder upside-down. Pay attention to the condition of the rubber sealing cuff, if cracks or signs of aging appear on it, replace the cuff.

6. Bleed the brake system on the car (see «Bleeding the brake system»).
