1. Brake the vehicle with the parking brake and set the wheel chocks («shoes») under the rear wheels. Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and place it on stands. Remove the wheel from the car.
2. Install a wrench on the top support nut to unscrew the nut.
3. Install the wrench to hold the damper rod from turning.
4. Loosen the nut to keep the damper rod from turning.
5. In the wheel arch, remove the brake hose from the bracket on the telescopic strut. 6. Disconnect the tie rod from the swing arm (see «Removal, installation of an external tip of steering draft and replacement of a protective cover of the spherical joint»).
7. Mark the eccentric washer and strut to mark the position of the adjusting bolt in relation to the telescopic struts. This will help maintain approximately the camber when installing the telescopic strut.
8. Turn away a nut adjusting (top) telescopic strut-to-knuckle mounting bolt and remove the bolt together with the eccentric washer.
9. Similarly turn away a nut of the lower bolt of fastening of a telescopic rack to a rotary fist and take out a bolt.
10. Disconnect a rotary fist from a telescopic rack.
11. In the engine compartment of the car, unscrew the three nuts of the upper mounting of the telescopic strut and remove the telescopic strut through the wheel niche.
12. Establish on the car a telescopic rack in an order, the return to removal. Pay attention to the position of the top support of the telescopic strut: the arrow marked on the surface of the support must be directed forward in the direction of the vehicle. When installing an old telescopic strut on the car, turn the eccentric washer in accordance with the previously made marks and, holding the adjusting bolt in this position from turning, tighten the fastening nut. After installation, check and, if necessary, adjust the toe and camber.
