Combined engine lubrication system: main and connecting rod bearings of the crankshaft, camshaft bearings are lubricated under pressure; splashing - cylinder walls, pistons with piston rings, piston pins, camshaft lobes, tappets and valve stems.
The engine lubrication system consists of an oil sump 15, a gear oil pump with an oil receiver 16, a full-flow oil filter 19, an oil pressure sensor 7 and oil channels.
If the oil pressure is too low, the oil pressure warning lamp lights up on the instrument panel.
The gear oil pump, with gears 10 and 11 of internal gearing, is located on the front end of the cylinder block. The drive gear 10 of the oil pump is mounted on two flats at the front end of the crankshaft. To reduce mechanical losses, the gears have trochoidal meshing. The oil receiver 16 is bolted to the second main bearing cap and to the oil pump housing. To limit the maximum pressure in the lubrication system, a pressure reducing valve 8 is installed on the oil pump.
Oil filter 19 is full-flow, non-separable, with a bypass valve 18 and anti-drain valves 13.
