1. Remove the decorative engine cover (see «Removal and installation of a decorative casing of the engine»).
2. Reduce the pressure in the engine power system (see «Reduced fuel pressure in the engine power system»).
3. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
4. Remove the intake module along with the throttle assembly (see «Removal and installation of the intake module»).
5. Disconnect the connector of the injector harness and engine harness and disconnect the fuel supply hose from the fuel rail tube (see «Removal and installation of the fuel rail»).
6. Disconnect the exhaust pipe of the additional muffler from the catalyst, to do this, unscrew the nuts securing the exhaust pipe flange to the catalyst flange, disconnect the rubber suspension pads from the silencer brackets and remove the exhaust pipe flange from the catalyst flange studs (see «Replacing the additional muffler»).
7. Disconnect the control harness connectors from the engine harness...
8.... and control oxygen concentration sensors.
9. Disconnect the holder of the wiring harness of the control oxygen concentration sensor from the heat-insulating shield of the steering mechanism...
10.... and a diagnostic oxygen sensor by wringing out the antennae of the holders with a screwdriver.
11. Turn away two nuts of fastening of a clip of the supporting arm of the catalyst, remove the spring washers established under them and remove a clip.
12. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a supporting arm to the block of cylinders and remove an arm.
13. Turn away a nut of the lower fastening of a back strut of an inlet pipe...
14.... and unscrew the bolt of the lower fastening of the front spacer of the inlet pipe.
15. Turn away a nut of the top fastening of a forward strut to an inlet pipe...
16.... remove the wire end from the stud...
17.... front brace and rubber damper bushing.
18. Turn away a nut of the top fastening of a back strut to an inlet pipe...
19.... and remove the spacer.
20. Turn away a nut of fastening to an inlet pipe of an arm of a connecting pipe of system of cooling, remove the spring washer established under a nut and remove an arm from hairpin.
21. Turn away two back nuts of fastening of an inlet pipe and the catalyst to a head of the block of cylinders of the engine remove a heat-insulating guard and flat washers.
22. At the front of the engine, unscrew the two nuts that simultaneously secure the heat shield and transport eye, and remove the shield and eye.
23. Turn away two forward nuts of fastening of an inlet pipe and the catalyst to a head of the block of cylinders and remove the flat washers established under them.
24. Remove the two middle top nuts A intake pipe fasteners and one nut b catalytic converter...
25.... two middle lower intake pipe nuts (not visible in the photo, as they are located deep under the intake pipe), remove the flat washers under the nuts...
26.... and remove the intake pipe from the cylinder head studs.
27. Slide the catalyst flange over the cylinder head studs and remove the catalyst.
28. Remove the gasket from the cylinder head studs.
29. Clean the flanges of the cylinder head and intake pipe from the remnants of the old gasket and soot.
30. Remove both oxygen concentration sensors from the catalyst and install them on the new catalyst.
31. Establish the catalyst and all removed details and knots on the car in an order, the return to removal.
