1. Disconnect the drain tube from the fuel pump module housing by prying it off with a screwdriver.
2. Overcoming the force of the spring, slightly move the housing of the fuel pump of the module up along the guides and, prying with a screwdriver, remove the retaining ring from one of the guides. The fuel pump module housing can then be moved slightly away from the bracket.
3. Detach the handpiece «massive» wires from the fuel pressure regulator.
4. Press a screw-driver a clamp of a plait of wires and disconnect it from an intermediate socket.
5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the fuel pump.
6. Unclench the two clamps of the fuel level sensor and, moving it up along the grooves of the fuel pump module housing...
7.... remove the fuel level sensor from the module.
8. Wash the contacts of the rheostat of the fuel level sensor and its slider plate with gasoline, and then wipe it with a lint-free cloth soaked in alcohol.
9. Prying off the spring retainer of the fuel pressure regulator with a screwdriver...
10.... remove the retainer from the bracket...
11.... and remove the pressure regulator.
12. Inspect the fuel pressure regulator o-rings. Replace heavily compressed, hardened or torn rings by removing them by prying them with a screwdriver.
13. Wring out plastic clips...
14.... and remove the fuel pump module housing from the bracket guides.
15. To replace or clean the fuel filter, pry off its base with a pointed tool and remove the fuel filter from the fuel pump housing, overcoming the resistance of the spring lock washer.
16. Before reinstalling the fuel filter, remove the lock washer, straighten it with pliers and install it in the filter housing.
17. Install the fuel filter in the reverse order of removal.
18. To replace the electric fuel pump, wring out the plastic retainer and remove the electric pump from the housing.
19. Assemble and install the fuel pump on the vehicle in the reverse order of disassembly.
