Removing
1. We prepare the car for work and disconnect the terminal from the negative terminal of the battery (see «Preparing the car for technical inspection and repair»).
Comment. If the car has a radio (or other audio head unit), extract it in accordance with the installation instructions.
2. With a thin slotted screwdriver, carefully pry off and remove the two cover caps.
Comment. If a switch is installed instead of one of the plugs, open the ashtray cover. Unscrew the four screws securing the ashtray and remove it. Or remove the box for small things, installed in place of the radio. Through the opened opening, disconnect the block of wires from the switch and push the switch out of the panel.
3. Remove the handle of the air recirculation damper control lever.
4. Remove the air flow control knobs and the air temperature regulator.
5. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two self-tapping screws securing the instrument panel console trim.
6. We take the overlay from the instrument panel to the length of the wires.
7. Disconnect the wire blocks from the switches and panel lights.
8. If necessary, remove the switches from the holes of the lining (see «Switches on the center console of the instrument panel - removal and installation»).
