Removing
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Remove the battery (see «Battery - removal and installation»).
3. Remove the air supply hose to the throttle (see «Throttle valve - actuator adjustment»).
4. With a rubber bulb or syringe, we select the brake fluid from the reservoir of the main brake cylinder (see above, «Hydraulic Brake Actuator - Brake Fluid Change»),
5. Using a special 13 mm wrench, we loosen the fittings of the four brake pipes of the main brake cylinder. With a 13 mm open-end wrench, completely unscrew the fittings of the four tubes.
6. Carefully, without bending the tubes strongly, we remove them from the main brake cylinder.
7. Using a 13 mm wrench, unscrew the two nuts securing the master brake cylinder to the vacuum booster housing.
8. Remove the main brake cylinder assembly with the reservoir from the vacuum booster.
9. If necessary, after releasing the two latches, we remove the tank pipes from the rubber sealing bushings.
Installation
1. We assemble and install the main brake cylinder in reverse order.
Before installing the reservoir on a new brake cylinder, wet the reservoir pipes with clean brake fluid.
We tighten the fittings of the brake pipes with a special key.
2. Fill the tank with fresh brake fluid and pump the hydraulic drive of the brake system (see «Hydraulic brake drive - pumping»)
3. We check the absence of fluid leaks at the points of connection of the brake pipes to the main brake cylinder.
