Adjustment
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. We measure the free play of the brake pedal (see «Brake Pedal - Free Play Check»). If the amount of free play does not correspond to the required one, adjust its position.
3. Remove the wire blocks from the terminals of the brake signal switch.
4. Using a 19 mm spanner, loosen the switch locknut. The brake light switch is also the stop of the brake pedal in its upper position. To reduce free play, we screw the locknut onto the switch and wrap the switch into the bracket plate. To increase the free play - turn the switch out of the plate a few turns and tighten the lock nut.
5. By pressing the brake pedal several times, we check the operation of the brake signals. Repeat the adjustment if necessary.
