Advice. The throttle assembly can be removed without draining the coolant. This will require two M12 bolts of any length.
Warning! Start work only after the engine has cooled down to a safe temperature (not higher than 45°C).
Removing
1. We prepare the car for repairs (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Remove the decorative trim (see «Decorative overlay of the engine - removal and installation»).
3. Having unscrewed the plug of the expansion tank, we release excess pressure from the engine cooling system.
4. Remove the air supply hose to the throttle (see «Throttle valve - actuator adjustment»).
5. Disconnect the wiring harness block from the throttle position sensor (see «Throttle position sensor - check and replace»).
6. Disconnect the block of wires from the idle speed controller (see «Idle speed regulator - check and replace»).
7. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the clamps fastening the two coolant supply hoses 1, the crankcase ventilation system hose 2 and the adsorber hose 3.
8. Disconnect the hose of the crankcase ventilation system and the hose of the canister purge valve from the throttle assembly.
9. Disconnect the coolant outlet hose from the throttle body. Plug the hose with an M12 bolt.
10. Similarly, disconnect the coolant supply hose from the throttle body.
Recommendation. Tighten the hose clamps to prevent the bolts from falling out.
11. Disconnect the throttle cable from the sector (see «Throttle cable - replacement»).
12. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two nuts securing the throttle assembly to the receiver flange.
13. Remove the throttle assembly from the studs.
We remove the sealing rubber ring from the groove of the receiver flange. Replace damaged ring.
Installation
Install the throttle assembly in reverse order.
