Removing
Set the car to a working post, brake with a parking brake, turn off the ignition and disconnect the wire terminal "masses" from the battery.
Unscrew the two screws securing the steering column covers and, having overcome the force of the clamps, remove the upper and lower steering column covers.
Remove the transponder pickup coil from the ignition switch housing.
Unscrew bolt 2, Figure 7-1, fastening the handle of the steering column adjustment mechanism and remove the handle 1.
Unscrew the nut 3 fastening the axis 4 of the adjustment mechanism, remove the washers, the needle bearing and the axle assembly with the locking mechanism (interchangeable head 10, ratchet wrench).

Installation
Attention. When installing the steering column adjustment mechanism, make sure that the two toothed segments 1, Figure 7-2 are correctly installed.

Install the axle 2, Figure 7-2, of the adjustment mechanism assembly with the locking mechanism on the steering column, install the needle bearing, washers and fix the axle with the nut 3 (interchangeable head 10, ratchet wrench).
Reinstall the adjustment knob and secure it with the bolt.
Adjust the stroke force of the adjustment mechanism handle by changing the tightening torque of the axle nut 3 (interchangeable head 13, ratchet wrench).
Check the operation of the steering column adjustment mechanism.
Install the transponder receiver coil.
Install the upper and lower steering column covers and secure with two screws.
Connect wire terminal "masses" to the battery.
