The airbag control unit is installed under the front of the central floor tunnel.
Remove the front of the floor tunnel (see here).
Fold back the carpet.
key (head) "on 10" unscrew the three bolts securing the block.
Turn the block over and use a screwdriver to press the latch...
... and then turn the locking bracket of the connector.
and disconnect the wiring harness from the unit.
Remove the fully electronic airbag control unit.
Installation is in the reverse order.
