The location of the lamps in the headlamp: 1 - turn signal lamp; 2 – headlight adjustment mechanism; 3 – a screw of adjustment of light of a headlight on a vertical; 4 - head light lamp (near, far); 5 - side light lamp; 6 - horizontal headlight adjustment knob
Open the hood and disconnect "minus" battery.
Replacing the head lamp (near and far) Sveta
H4 headlight bulb - halogen, double filament.
Note. The headlights are fitted with halogen headlamps. Buffer gas added to their cylinders - halogen vapors (bromine or iodine), which increases the lamp life up to 2000-4000 h and allows you to increase the temperature of the spiral. The operating temperature of the coil is approximately 3000°K. In a conventional lamp, an electric current passing through a tungsten filament heats it up to a high temperature. When heated, the spiral begins to glow. However, due to the high operating temperature, tungsten atoms are constantly evaporating from the surface of the spiral and deposited (condense) on cooler bulb surfaces, limiting bulb life and causing bulb darkening. In a halogen lamp, the iodine surrounding the coil (together with residual oxygen) enters into a chemical combination with the evaporated tungsten atoms, preventing the deposition of the latter on the flask. This process is reversible: at a high temperature near the helix, the compound decomposes into its constituent substances. The tungsten atoms are released either on the helix itself or near it. As a result, the tungsten atoms return to the helix, which makes it possible to increase the operating temperature of the lamp (for brighter light) and extend its service life.
Turn the plastic cover, press the latch and remove it (in the photo, the headlight is extended from the cavity in the body for clarity).
After pressing the latch, remove the wiring block from the lamp.
Pry up the edge of the rubber sealing boot and remove it from the headlight.
By pressing the spring clip of the lamp, disengage it from the reflector.
Lower the latch.
And remove the head lamp (near and far) light from the headlight housing.
Insert a new lamp, secure it with a spring holder, install a rubber seal, attach a wiring block to it and replace the plastic cover.
Replacing the turn signal lamp
Turn Signal Lamp PY21W (orange color).
Replacing the turn signal bulb in the headlight without removing the fender liner or battery can be problematic due to difficult access. Some drivers can do it, some don't. If it is not possible to replace with direct access, proceed as follows:
Jack up the car, remove the wheel, unscrew the two screws securing the fender liner from below to the bumper and one screw in the arch. Bend the edge of the fender liner, put it behind the brake disc. Access is open.
Press the connector latch.
And disconnect the wiring harness from the lamp socket.
Grasping the cartridge, turn it and remove it from the headlight along with the lamp.
By pressing and turning the lamp, remove it from the cartridge.
Install the new bulb in reverse order.
Replacing the parking light bulb
Side light bulb - W5W.
Replacing the position light bulb in the headlight in a direct way can be problematic due to difficult access. Some of the drivers manage to do this, some do not succeed, some - only on one side. For an easy, albeit longer, replacement, do the following:
Jack up the car, remove the wheel, unscrew the two screws securing the fender liner from below to the bumper and one screw in the arch. Bend the edge of the fender liner and slide it behind the brake disc. Access is open.
For convenience, you can disconnect the turn signal lamp connector (see above).
Rotate lamp socket (for the right headlight - counterclockwise, for the left - clockwise).
And remove it from the headlight housing.
Remove the baseless lamp from the socket and replace with a new one.
