The anti-lock brake system only works in conjunction with service brakes. If the brake pedal pulsates with noise during braking, this indicates that the ABS system is working. Ripple and noise are normal. Do not release the brake pedal at this point.
The fact that your car can provide high traffic safety does not mean that you can take unreasonable risks.
Note: Tire size and type are important for the correct operation of the ABS system, so please change to tires of the same size, load range and texture when changing tires. Using a tire of a different size will have a serious impact on the performance of the ABS system.
ABS operation, use of the ABS brake system
In the event of an emergency, depress the brake pedal with full force and hold your foot - the anti-lock brakes will work immediately and allow you to keep control of the steering column. If there is enough space, you can drive around the obstacle.
It is recommended that you first gain experience using the brakes; anyway, any unnecessary risk must be avoided.
The ABS system guarantees the best braking performance, but the braking distance varies considerably depending on the road conditions. ABS does not guarantee reduced braking distance in all road conditions. For example, on sand or snow, the braking distance of a vehicle with ABS will be significantly longer than without ABS.
The main principle of using the ABS system:
- 1. Firmly press and hold the brake pedal.
- 2. Turn the steering wheel to avoid interference. No matter how tight the brake pads are, you still have control of the steering wheel.
In the same case, the use of ABS does not avoid the threat at short distances, while driving in water, driving too fast or in bad road conditions; it is also impossible to avoid accidents caused due to a mistake or improper driving. Please be careful while driving and slow down when cornering.
If while the vehicle is moving, if the ABS warning light lights up, this indicates a malfunction in the ABS system circuit and the ABS system stops functioning. But this does not affect the operation of the brakes. In this situation, please contact an authorized service station as soon as possible.
If two warning lights come on at once, this indicates a malfunction of both the ABS and the brake system. At the same time, the brake system of the car partially retains its efficiency. However, sudden braking becomes extremely dangerous, so stop immediately as soon as possible. Contact the service station.
