How to use the air conditioner

Lada Largus can be supplied with or without air conditioning. The heating and ventilation control unit will differ only in the presence of an on / off button for the air conditioner (E).

The air conditioner provides:

• decrease in air temperature in the cabin;
• accelerated fogging of glasses.

Button E is used to turn the air conditioner on or off.

The air conditioning system will not turn on if the blower fan mode switch is (handle A) is in position 0 (fan off).

Note. The air conditioner will not turn on if the ambient temperature is below 0°C. This is not a sign of a malfunction, but is provided for by the design. The air conditioner can be used in all conditions, but it does not work when the outdoor temperature is low.

The operation of the air conditioning system leads to an increase in fuel consumption, especially when driving in urban areas.

In vehicles equipped with an air conditioning system without automatic mode, turn off the air conditioner when it is not needed.

Tips to help you reduce fuel consumption and protect the environment:

• Drive with open wind deflectors and raised windows.
• If your car has been parked in very hot weather or in direct sunlight, we recommend that you ventilate the interior for a few minutes before starting the engine.

Note. If you do not use the air conditioner for a long time, it is necessary to turn it on briefly once a week with the engine running to restore the lubrication layer on the internal parts of the compressor and seals.

Consider the main modes of operation of the ventilation system paired with air conditioning.



- Button 2 not pressed (signal lamp does not light). The air conditioner is off. The settings are the same as on a car without air conditioning.

- Button 2 pressed (warning light on). Air conditioning included.

- maximum cooling mode. Used in hot weather and after a long stay in the sun to quickly cool the air in the cabin. In this case, before turning on the air conditioner, it is recommended to briefly open the windows to remove the heated air from the passenger compartment. Set the switch handle 3 for the intensity of the air supply to the passenger compartment to the position "4". Set the handle of the air distribution regulator 1 to the position . Set the temperature regulator knob 5 to the extreme position of the blue part of the scale. Turn off the outdoor air supply with the recirculation mode switch 4. Turn on the air conditioner by pressing the switch button 2;

- normal cooling mode. Used when traveling around the city and outside the city in moderately warm weather. Set the switch handle 3 for the intensity of the air supply to the passenger compartment to the position «2». Set the handle of the air distribution regulator 1 to the position . Set the temperature controller knob 5 to the extreme position of the left side of the scale. Turn on the outdoor air supply with the recirculation mode switch 4. Turn on the air conditioner by pressing the switch button 2;

- ventilation mode. It is used in the off-season, which is characterized by low temperatures and lack of sunlight. Set the handle of the switch 3 for the intensity of the air supply to the passenger compartment to position 2. Set the handle of the air distribution regulator 1 to the position . Set the temperature regulator knob 5 to the middle position of the scale. Turn on the outdoor air supply with the recirculation mode switch 4. Do not turn on the air conditioner;

- maximum heating mode. It is used at very low ambient temperatures and to quickly warm up the air in the cabin after a long parking. Set the switch handle 3 for the intensity of the air supply to the passenger compartment to the position «4». Set the handle of the air distribution regulator 1 to the position . Set the temperature regulator knob 5 to the extreme position of the red part of the scale. Turn off the outdoor air supply with the recirculation mode switch 4. Do not turn on the air conditioner;

- normal heating mode. It is used in the cold season to maintain the optimum air temperature in the cabin after it has been intensively warmed up in the maximum heating mode. Set the switch handle 3 for the intensity of the air supply to the passenger compartment to the position «2». Set the handle of the regulator 1 of the distribution of air flows to the position Set the handle of the temperature regulator 5 to the extreme position of the red part of the scale. Turn on the outdoor air supply with the recirculation mode switch 4. Do not turn on the air conditioner;

- mode of blowing the windshield and windows of the front doors. It is used to quickly eliminate fogging of glasses at high humidity. Set the switch handle 3 for the intensity of the air supply to the passenger compartment to the position «3». Set the handle of the air distribution regulator 1 to the position . Set the temperature regulator knob 5 to the extreme position of the red part of the scale. Turn on the outdoor air supply with the recirculation mode switch 4. The air conditioner may be on or off depending on the ambient temperature.
