Rules for running up to 1000 km
- It is forbidden to drive the car at maximum speed;
- It is forbidden to drive a car at a speed of more than 130 km / h;
- It is recommended to avoid driving at the maximum speed set for the various gears.
Break-in rules from 1000 km to 1500 km
You can gradually increase the speed to the maximum or drive at the maximum permitted engine speed after the first 3000 km.
Break-in period warnings
To shift to the next gear as soon as the tachometer needle reaches the red field, the next gear must be engaged manually.
It is recommended to avoid the maximum motor speeds unless necessary. Shifting to the next gear as soon as possible helps save fuel, reduce operating noise and reduce environmental pollution.
While the car is moving, too low engine speed is also undesirable. It is necessary to switch to another gear depending on the speed of revolutions.
If the car has had time to cool down, do not let the engine run at maximum speed, regardless of whether the car is idling or in gear.
At the beginning of using the car, new tires have poor grip on the ground. Therefore, even new tires also require break-in. During the first 100 km, the vehicle speed should be low and the steering should be very careful.
The brake disc also needs to be broken in as the brakes do not have the ideal friction effect until after 200 km. If the brake system does not work well during this period, it is allowed to press the brake pedal with more force. This practice should be followed every time the brake disc or brake pads have to be changed.
Once the new vehicle has covered a total distance of 800 km, the wheel nuts must be re-tightened. A vehicle whose wheels have been changed or whose wheel nuts have been loosened is also recommended to re-tighten the wheel nuts to the appropriate torque after the vehicle has traveled 800 km.
General break-in rules
- 1. Before each departure, check and, if necessary, adjust the air pressure in the tires.
- 2. Do not allow the engine to run at an increased speed of the crankshaft (more than 3500 min1).
- 3. In time, in accordance with road conditions, shift to a lower gear to avoid unwanted engine overloads.
- 4. For better running-in of the brake pads, try to avoid sudden braking during the first 300 km.
- 5. Avoid riding in deep snow, sand, mud as much as possible.
- 6. Do not tow a trailer and if possible try to avoid towing other vehicles.
- 7. Apply «soft» driving style, avoiding sudden acceleration, braking, maneuvering.
- 8. During the break-in period, do not exceed (even on the slopes) speed 130 km/h.
- 9. Monitor the condition of all fasteners of the car and, if necessary, tighten them. Pay special attention to the fastening of wheels, steering parts, front and rear suspensions, pipes of the exhaust system.
- 10. Check the tension of the accessory drive belt. In the initial period of operation, the belt is most intensively stretched.
