For vehicles with K7M engine
Remove block 1, Figure 12-3, of the control oxygen sensor from the holder.

Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the oxygen control sensor connector. Disconnect clamp 2.
Unscrew the control oxygen sensor 3 (tool Mot. 1495 or interchangeable insert 22 from the set of type 811382 f. "USAG").
Operations for all vehicle configurations
Disconnect the harness connector from connector 1, Figure 12-4, diagnostic oxygen sensor.

Disconnect the diagnostic oxygen sensor block from the mounting bracket.
Unscrew diagnostic oxygen sensor 2 (tool Mot. 1495 or interchangeable insert 22 from the set of type 811382 f. "USAG").
If there is a coupling 1, Figure 12-5, unscrew the nut 2 of the coupling bolt connecting the pipe of the exhaust gas system, loosen the coupling (socket head 13, extension and ratchet wrench).

If the exhaust system is one-piece, then on pipeline 1, Figure 12-6, of the exhaust gas system, mark with a marker the middle C between marks A and B of the cutting zone, as shown in the figure (ruler).
Figure 12-6 - Marking the cutting zone of the pipeline of the exhaust gas system: 1 - pipeline of the exhaust gas system; A, B - marks of the cutting zone; C - the middle between marks A and B (pipeline cutting site)
Cut the pipeline 1, Figure 12-7, of the exhaust system with a pipe cutter 2 in accordance with the markings in the middle between the two marks on the pipeline (chain pipe cutter type 60 11 00 01 f. "Stahlwille" or tool Mot. 1199-01).
Unscrew the two nuts 1, Figure 12-8, of the studs securing the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold 3, remove the springs 2 (interchangeable head 10, extension and ratchet).
For vehicles with K7M engine
Disconnect the catalytic converter bracket from the suspension mount (cut suspension cushion if necessary) (flat screwdriver, utility knife).

Operations for all vehicle configurations
Remove catalytic converter 4 and sealing ring. The sealing ring must be replaced.
Remove burrs on parts of the exhaust pipe that will be reused on the vehicle (flat file).
Remove the coupling from the pipeline (in the presence of) (flat screwdriver). The clutch must be replaced.
