Replacing the oil pressure warning light sensor

The oil pressure warning light sensor is screwed into the oil passage on the right side of the cylinder block under the exhaust manifold.



You will need a key «at 21».

Note. Observing safety measures, replace the sensor on a cold engine or, in order not to burn your hands, use cloth gloves and long-sleeved clothing.

1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.

2. For convenience, remove the air filter (see «Removal and installation of the air filter»).



3. Squeeze the pad..



4.... and disconnect it with a wire from the sensor output.



5. Loosen the sensor…



6.... and unscrew it from the oil channel.

Note. This is what the oil pressure warning light sensor looks like. Pay attention to the markings on the sensor body in order to purchase a sensor with the same parameters.

7. Install the new sensor in the reverse order of removal.
