Pic. 10.9. Sound signal switching circuit: 1 - mounting block; 2 – sound signal switch; 3 - sound signal; A - to the main fuse box (F3); B - to the electronic anti-theft system control unit, output «20»; K8 - relay for turning on the sound signal
The scheme for switching on the sound signal is shown in fig. 10.9.
If the sound of the signal has become quieter or wheezing has appeared, you can try to adjust the signal with the adjusting screw.
You will need a key «at 13».
1. Remove the front bumper (see «Removal and installation of a forward bumper»).
2. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the horn. Check signal pins and wiring harness pads. If they are oxidized, strip them.
3. Turn away a fastening nut and remove a sound signal in gathering with an arm.
4. If cleaning the contacts does not work, disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery and signal harness block.
5. Vise the signal on the bracket. Connect the wires to the battery and horn terminals («minus» to the top signal contact, «plus» to the bottom).
6. Cranking (slowly) Using a screwdriver adjusting screw, achieve a loud and clear signal sound. If this fails, replace the signal.
