According to the manufacturer's recommendation, brake fluid should be replaced after 45 thousand kilometers or 3 years of operation (whichever comes first).
Note. Brake fluid is very hygroscopic and absorbs moisture from the air, which, in addition to causing corrosion of parts of the brake system, lowers the boiling point of the fluid itself, and this can lead to brake failure during frequent heavy braking. Therefore, we recommend changing the brake fluid at least once every 2 years.
Check the tightness by external inspection:
- top from under the hood;
- from below the car (on a lift or inspection ditch);
- from the sides of the vehicle with the wheels removed.
Note. Inspection of the part of the hydraulic drive working under pressure, conduct with an assistant. He must press the brake pedal four or five times (in order to create thus pressure in the hydraulic drive) and keep it pressed until you inspect the hydraulic drive.
Note. Inspection of a non-pressurized hydraulic actuator is acceptable, but less effective.
Note. If leaks are found in the connections, tighten the clamps, plugs, nuts.
Note. Replace hoses and pipelines with mechanical damage.
Note. Replace wheel cylinders if leaks are found.
You will need: key «at 15», a special wrench for pipe nuts or a wrench «on 10».
It looks like a special wrench for pipe nuts.
1. Examine a tank of the main cylinder and connections of pipelines with the main cylinder.
2. Check for fluid leakage from the connections of the brake pipes with tees...
3....and with a pressure regulator. Tighten if leaks are found (special key) brake pipe ends.
4. Carefully inspect the brake hoses. They should not have cracks, tears and traces of rubbing. Press all the way down on the brake pedal. If swelling appears on the hose, it means that the threads of the hose braid are torn and it must be replaced.
5. Check the fastening of the pipelines in the holders. Loose or broken holders lead to vibration and, as a result, to breakage of pipelines.
6. Inspect the connections of the hose with the inlet pipe and the wheel cylinder, as well as the air outlet for the brake mechanisms of the front...
7....and rear wheels.
8. Examine a condition and connections of a hose with a bringing tube of back brake mechanisms.
