- signs of rubber aging;
- mechanical damage.
On rubber-metal hinges are not allowed:
- signs of aging, cracks;
- unilateral buckling of the rubber mass.
Replace defective parts.
Check for mechanical damage (deformations, cracks, etc.) suspension elements.

The location of the checked elements of the rear suspension is shown in fig. 4.3.
When checking, carefully inspect the following.
1. Rubber bushings of the lower hinges…
2.... rubber-metal hinges of the rear suspension beam..
3.... shock absorbers (liquid drips, «sweating» not allowed).
Note. Pay attention to the exhaust system. Extraneous knocks published by her are often mistaken for a knock in the rear suspension. The use of non-standard parts or a break in the suspension elements of the additional and main mufflers can cause a strong knock, especially during regassing. To check, stop the engine, carefully inspect the exhaust system, check the reliability of fastening and suspension of the exhaust system. Grabbing the end of the exhaust pipe (wear gloves to avoid getting burned), shake the muffler up and down and from side to side - there should be no knocks.
