The decorative casing is fixed with four rubber clamps, put on studs screwed into the intake manifold.
You will need a flat blade screwdriver.
1. Press the latch and remove the wiring harness block from the canister purge solenoid valve.
2. Pry with a screwdriver and remove the valve retainer.
3. Take away the valve together with hoses from the engine.
4. Remove the oil filler cap.
5. Pull up on the edges of the shroud and remove it by releasing the retainers from the studs.
Attention! Replace the oil filler plug immediately after removing the cover to prevent foreign objects from entering the engine.
6. Inspect the latches on the back of the casing.
7. Replace the torn retainer by wringing it out with a pointed tool (e.g. with a screwdriver) latch leg edge (shown by arrow) and push the retainer into the hole in the casing. To facilitate installation, lubricate the retainer with engine oil.
8. Install the decorative casing in the reverse order of removal, putting the clips on the studs and pressing the casing at the location of the clips until it stops.
