Carry out work on an inspection ditch, overpass or, if possible, on a lift.
You will need: key «on 10», end head «on 10».
1. Remove the engine mudguard (see «Removal and installation of a mudguard of the engine»).
2. Drain engine oil (see «Changing engine oil and oil filter»).
3. Turn out with a key «on 10» bolts securing the front cover of the clutch housing..
4.... and remove the cover.
5. Unscrew socket «on 10» sixteen oil sump bolts.
6. Remove the crankcase by carefully separating it from the cylinder block with a screwdriver.
7. Remove the crankcase gasket from the mating surface of the cylinder block.
8. Remove old gasket and sealant (if available) from the mating surfaces of the cylinder block and oil sump. Carefully wipe off the oil from the mating surfaces with a rag.
9. Lay a new gasket on the mating surface of the oil pan.
Note. In order to fix the gasket on the crankcase, apply a layer of sealant to its mating surface and glue the gasket to it. In addition to fixing, the sealant will provide better tightness of the connection. For the same purpose, we recommend applying sealant to the mating surface of the cylinder block.
10. Install the crankcase in the reverse order of removal, and evenly cross-tighten the bolts to the torque specified in Appendix 1.
11. Fill the crankcase with oil.
