Execution sequence
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Pry with a screwdriver...
...and open the cover at the back of the floor tunnel lining.
3. Pull up the parking brake lever.
4. We fold forward the cover of the adjusting unit.
5. Lower the parking brake lever.
6. Using a 10 mm socket wrench with an extension, tighten or unscrew the adjusting nut, depending on what is needed: reduce or increase the number of clicks of the lever travel.
7. After the parking brake is adjusted (the number of clicks is normal), we hang out the rear wheels of the car and make sure that when the parking brake lever is raised by one click, the parking brake control lamp is on and the wheels rotate freely, and when the lever is raised, both wheels are locked.
