The parameters of the operation and condition of the car, its units are displayed on the instrument panel (see «Dashboard»).
The tachometer and speedometer are electronic-mechanical. An information display is built into the instrument panel. It displays odometer readings (trip odometer), fuel gauge in the tank, coolant temperature gauge and current time, as well as additional information from the on-board computer (for vehicles with on-board computer).
The sensor of insufficient level of a brake liquid is installed in a tank of the main brake cylinder. When the fluid level drops below the permissible value, the brake system malfunction indicator lamp on the instrument panel lights up. The same lamp lights up when the parking brake is applied.
The emergency oil pressure sensor is mounted on the top of the cylinder block. The contacts of a good sensor should close when the pressure in the engine lubrication system drops below the acceptable level.
The coolant temperature sensor is installed in the cylinder head. The signal from the sensor enters the instrument panel and the ECU of the engine management system (see «Coolant temperature sensor - replacement»).
Fuel gauge sensor (and fuel reserve) installed in the fuel tank assembly with the fuel module.
