1. Insufficient tire pressure. Check and top up tire pressure (see «Checking tire pressure»).
2. Air filter clogged. Clean or replace the air filter element (see «Air filter - filter element replacement»).
3. Faulty oxygen concentration sensor in the exhaust gases. Run diagnostics on the engine management system (see «Engine management system»). Check and, if necessary, replace the oxygen concentration sensor (see «Oxygen concentration sensor (control/diagnostic) - replacement»).
4. Faulty engine management system. Run diagnostics on the engine management system (see «Engine management system»). If necessary, replace defective parts.
5. Defective fuel injectors. Run diagnostics on the engine management system (see «Engine management system»). Check and, if necessary, replace faulty injectors (see «Nozzles - check and replacement»).
6. Clogged fuel injectors. Clean the injectors with special fuel additives or with special equipment at a specialized workshop.
7. Faulty spark plugs. Check the condition of the spark plugs. Replace spark plugs (see «Spark plugs - replacement»).
