Warning! Short circuit of the car's electrical circuit (or circuit overload), leaking fuel may cause a fire.
The smell of gasoline
1. Fuel tank full (do not fill the car «under the cork»).
2. Leakage of fuel lines. Inspection to check the tightness of the fuel supply system (see «Power system - check of technical condition»). Replace defective part.
3. Leakage of fuel injectors. Check injectors (see «Nozzles - check and replacement»), defective replace.
The appearance of a burning smell (may be accompanied by the appearance of smoke)
1. Faulty wiring. Disconnect the battery to de-energize the electrical circuit. Determine the location of the fault - poor contact in the connection, damage to the wire insulation and short circuit (see «Electrical equipment - checking the technical condition»). Treat the connection points with an agent for cleaning and protecting electrical contacts. Eliminate a short circuit in the electrical circuit, repair the damaged wire insulation with insulating tape. Replace severely damaged sections of wires and connecting blocks.
2. Faulty electrical equipment. Disable faulty electrical equipment (see «Electrical equipment - checking the technical condition») and replace.
The appearance of an unpleasant smell in the cabin after turning on the air conditioner
Organic deposits have accumulated in the air conditioner. When you turn on the heater or air conditioner, air with an unpleasant odor begins to flow into the passenger compartment. Clean the air conditioner with an air conditioner cleaner (see «Air conditioning - maintenance»).
