To complete the work, you will need two pieces of wire and a rubber pear.
Execution sequence
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery (see «Battery - removal and installation»).
3. Press the latch...
... and disconnect the wiring harness block from the valve.
4. Using a 10 mm wrench, unscrew the fastening nut.
5. Disconnect the two tubes and remove the valve.
6. Visually make sure that the terminals of the block are in good condition. If oxides are found on them, we process the conclusions with a means for cleaning and protecting electrical contacts.
7. We create a vacuum through the side fitting in the valve with a rubber pear (the valve must not let air through).
Warning! In order to avoid a short circuit during the following operation, one valve outlet must be insulated with PVC tubing.
8. We supply 12 V voltage from the battery to the valve terminals. The valve should open and allow air to pass through.
Comment. When the valve is opened, a characteristic click is heard.
9. We replace the defective valve. Install the valve in reverse order.
